Jaeggli’s settling
Boxes unpacked, the party’s over and the only thing left is homework. Grrr…. it’s hard to settle down to that one. But officially we have broken the place in today. We’ve covered our kitchen table with books, papers, laptops and bills. Also the mandatory dirty dishes from snacking. We’re going to have to try harder because this place is too big to mess up. Maybe when Nat and Sally come over with the plywood and construction tools, we might be halfway to messy success then.
See my new UFO?
It is sweeping our galaxy floor, whirring and beeping as it goes. I am amazed at how well this little robot does in its mission to cleanse the floor of debris. Kitty hair be gone! and it is. Plus this floor is supersize, but it seems to get from one end to the other. We left it running today and when we came back it was charging quietly at it’s dock. Good roomba.
Our other humdrum Saturday task, now that the excitement is over, was to take my scooter in for its 600 mile maintenance check. It actually had 761 mi this morning. On the UC Berkeley Campus there are bunches of Zippy siblings, many also in silver. Move over Vespa!
On our way back home along Frontage Rd. the fog was rolling swiftly in over the bay. (Which made for a freezing ride as we did 45 mph! and a misty face shield.) The atmosphere was dreamy and gorgeous with the sun a round disk through the fog over the grey water. The top of the SF skyline disappeared.
In homework-land, I am marinating in Web 2.0 sauce, till it is seeping from me. Secret: I am really tired of this subject. But don’t tell because I’m trying to maintain some semblance of excitement while I get my final web-page underway for class. Web 2.0 applications under my belt: Facebook, wikis, (of course blogging), RSS, tagging, Flickr, del.icio.us. Maybe there is more, but I can’t remember. I’m thinking that this weekend I need to post a video on YouTube and link to it from here. THEN I will have conquered web 2.0.
