Spinning Uncensored

Meet the Baron. He stayed in the laundry room for two years keeping an eye on everyone’s laundry and scowling when tenants left their laundry sitting in machines. Grrrrrrrr…. But now he is back with me and I think he is rather glad. The Baron is a portrait head I did in art school and liked him enough to cast him in a hard plaster.

Also, the hat that the Baron is sporting is my latest creation using Sally’s hand spun yarn. Sally is my husband’s mom and she keeps me supplied with awesome fiber!! Anyways, back to the hat, hemp fiber, crocheted with a larger hook for all my summer time need to get the sun out of my eyes needs. Heh! It looks much better on me.

Oh, hem, sorry. [blink, blink] I’m still having a hard time waking up. Must be those late nights, partying hard. Yeaahhh, right. But seriously, last nights cataloging class was totally fun. What!? you ask. Cataloging fun? No wait, what is cataloging? Or rather, never mind. SOme weird librarian stuff. We got to design call #’s last night and it was like a puzzle. An easy puzzle for us that are brain numbed by this point in the semester. Easier than Sudoku. And cutter #’s….excellent!! Let’s see… mine is J–? Darn, I can’t remember. J35, I think. Where’s a cutter table when you need it, huh?

Well, I forgot a book in my list yesterday… Pox: Genius, Madness, and the Mysteries of Syphilis by Deborah Hayden. Wicked awesome. But gentleman, seriously… be careful. Just because genius is a perk, the pain and gut wrenching illness, oh and the utter madness, don’t make the genius part worth it.

Has it been months or what? So much for that New Years Resolution. Well, I owe a booklist to this page as well, and um….. [whisper] I haven’t spread the word about my blog yet. That is truly sad. But if you saw the state of my desk at home…. well, you get the idea. Homework. Too much of it really.
